金中村是陂头镇下辖的行政村，属镇乡结合区。村名来自旧时的一处“金汤阁”聚居地：那里聚居着全村六成的人口，位于陂头街的中部，因此称金中。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
金中管理区于1999年4月撤销，此后改设金中村委会，沿用至今。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
「普安村民打击日军侵略战斗旧址」位于普安，即现在的普安经济社，距陂头圩约15华里。普安四面环山，中间建有一座具有连平地方特色的砖瓦屋。[1]
迫降谢岳臣战斗旧址位于麻竹头下屋，为1949年9月中旬的一处战斗遗址。[1]
