夏田村是陂头镇下辖的行政村，属镇乡结合区，位于镇区西侧，地势较为低洼。当地客家话称低处为“下”，此处又适于种稻，被称为“下田”，后写作夏田。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

本地先为夏田大队（1984年）。随后1984年至1987年为夏田乡，1987年至1999年为夏田管理区，1999年起改为夏田村民委员会。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

复澈公祠为明代古建筑，是第四批河源市文物保护单位。[1]

燕岩古寺位于本村鹿子坑（又名六祖坑），寺后有天然溶洞，详见陂头镇条。[2]

文化[edit]

2019年6月，本村列入第五批中国传统村落名录。[1]

2023年5月，本村获「2022年广东省卫生村」称号；2021年1月，河源市文明委授予本村「2020年度河源市文明村」称号；2019年9月，本村上榜「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
