连光村是陂头镇下辖的行政村，属镇乡结合区。村名原作“连岗”，因地处连塘岗一带而来；建国初称连尚乡，人民公社化时分为连岗村、连星村，后将“岗”字改为“光”，取光明之意。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
文革前此地为连上乡，文革后分为连光、连星两个大队。[1]
2023年5月，广东省爱卫会授予本村「2022年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
文化[edit]
村内基头岩下有连平上洋遗址，属新石器时代晚期遗存，遗址面积约2000平方米，1984年被发现，2011年被评为河源市文物保护单位。[2]
