新中国成立初期，这里叫联中村。村子在1958年之后称大队，1977年曾分出大塘大队。[1]

2021年9月，联中村的油茶入选广东省农业农村厅公布的第二批「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村名单。[1]
文化[edit]
联中村被收入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单，时间为2019年9月。[1]
