平越村属龙川县岩镇镇，是一个村庄。村子建在一处平坦、近乎圆形的盆地上，因此得名“平越”。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

新中国成立前，此地归平山乡。1952年成立平越乡，当时辖有今平越、东方、枚南三地。1957年组建平联管区，范围扩至今平越、东方、枚南、联城与城头。[1]

1958年建平越大队，1983年改设乡，辖今平越、枚南两处。1987年成为村委会；1989年改作管理区；1999年才重新设立村委会。[1] 2004年，梅南村委会经县政府批准并入本村。[1]

经济[edit]

县人民政府2025年工作报告把平越与东方两村的美丽家园省级示范项目列为待推进事项。[2]
