好义镇在河源市紫金县的西南部，东面是凤安镇和上义镇，北面是古竹镇，西南与惠州市惠城区横沥镇交界，镇区离县城约68公里，省道S120穿过辖区。[1]镇下设1个社区、8个行政村，辖区面积86.72平方千米，2018年末户籍人口18850人。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

“好义”原作“下义”，得名于所处的上义河下游；明清时这一带归古名部下义杜（约）管辖。[3][4]康熙四十年即1701年，名称改为好义约。[4]

民国年间，辖地几经划属：1929年在第一区之内，称好义乡；1941年归并入尚好乡；1945年又编入广义乡。[4]

1949年后，起初分属第二区和第七区，直到1957年12月才单设好义乡。次年10月建立好义公社，1961年从中分出上义公社。此后体制改动较多：1983年9月公社改为区，1987年4月又恢复为乡，1993年升格为镇，沿用至今。[4]

地理环境[edit]

镇政府设在老圩坳，秋香江流过镇境。[3]博雅地名网所录1998年数据把全镇面积记作89.8平方公里，与百度百科的86.72平方千米略有出入。[1][3]气候属亚热带季风气候。[1]

经济[edit]

2014年，全镇地区生产总值7.45亿元，较上年增长10.2%；工业占6.2亿元，农业1.1亿元，第三产业0.15亿元。[1]

农业方面，据1998年的资料，镇里种植水稻1161.6公顷，另有花生228公顷、水果131公顷（含春甜桔73.3公顷），三黄鸡饲养量由1989年的11万只增至14万只，由镇养鸡公司统一培育鸡苗，成鸡主要销往珠江三角洲。[3]工业以水电为主，已建高尚电站装机960千瓦，1998年又投资400万元兴建装机400千瓦的板子坝电站。[3]三黄鸡一项，使好义镇在2021年9月被广东省农业农村厅列入第三批专业镇。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

小古村的凤振黄公祠为清代建筑，三间二进，带两侧横屋，前有半月形池塘，1985年和2004年重修，供奉黄氏祖先神位。[5]积良村的细坑有紫河特区的党委机关，旧址建于清代；特区委1929年11月在炮子乡成立，次年2月转入细坑，直到1934年都在此办公，1994年1月紫金县政府将旧址公布为爱国主义教育基地。[6]同村小坑有紫河游击队总部旧址，游击队1929年11月成立，总部设在小坑。[7]

人居环境[edit]

2020年前后，镇里开展“三清三拆三整治”，当年9月曾组织50多人的联合执法队，清拆宜良村一处占地近3000平方米、占用基本农田的养鸽场。[8]
