赤溪村属紫金县苏区镇，1931年起海陆紫苏维埃政府在村内宝善楼办公，村内还有东江红军独立师指挥部旧址。[1][2][3]

历史沿革[edit]

赤溪大队成立于1958年，1983年起叫赤溪乡，1989年改管理区，1999年又改设村民委员会，名称一直未换。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

宝善楼建于清末，砖木结构，高五层，四角有炮楼，外有围墙，全楼建筑面积共990平方米。[2] 海陆紫苏维埃政府是1930年12月15日成立，主席团有林覃吉、杨沛、曾添、钟一强、陈荫南五人；次年春天起机关设在宝善楼，领导范围含海丰、陆丰、紫金，以及惠阳的高潭一带，当地的土地革命由它指导。省农运特派员戴耀田还在楼里开办战地训练所，三百多名军事干部由此培养。[2] 旧址1987年被紫金县公布为文物保护单位。[2][4]

油谷坑的东江红军独立师指挥部旧址，与红十一军有关：该军1931年被改编为广东东江独立师，1933年师部驻在这里。房屋坐西朝东，三间二进，两侧各有横屋。[3]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，赤溪村名列「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”」创建单位；2023年5月，又由省爱卫会评为「2022年广东省卫生村」。[1]
