永坑村在紫金县苏区镇，山林面积大，村名由此而来；村内立有朱乙、朱豹烈士纪念碑，近年入选省级“百千万工程”典型村。[1][3]

地名由来与历史沿革[edit]

村内山多田少，俗话说“八山一水一分田”，地方偏僻，故名永坑。[1] 永坑大队建于1958年；之后依次为永坑乡（1983年）、永坑管理区（1989年），1999年起为村委会，至今未变。[1] 1972年，永坑曾分出一部分另设管辖区，即今永光村。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

朱乙、朱豹烈士纪念碑在紫海路边。朱乙生于1864年，1928年去世，生前做过坪塘乡农会会长和乡苏维埃主席；朱豹（1892—1928年）带过乡农民自卫军，又当赤卫大队乡常备队队长。1928年3月国民党军进攻苏区，二人守在公村嶂：朱乙子弹用尽后跳崖，朱豹被捕后就义。碑最初建在1977年，2011年重修新碑，列为县级文物保护单位。[3]

荣誉[edit]

2019年10月，永坑村入选「2019年广东省卫生村」名录；2026年1月，被评为「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」。[1]
