苏区镇在广东省河源市紫金县的东南部，辖1个社区和8个行政村，面积约125平方千米；它的前身是1957年设立的炮子乡，因1920年代末这里建有紫金县苏维埃政府而得名。[1][2][3] 据百度百科和博雅地名网的说法，全国只有这一个乡镇以“苏区”命名。[1][3] 镇内的苏区革命旧（遗）址群含20处旧址和纪念建筑，是河源市主要的红色旅游景点。[4]

历史沿革[edit]

清代，这一带属琴江都；新中国成立前夕归第二区，后来划入琴江镇，新中国成立后再改属第五区，1952年转到第四区。[1] 1957年12月设炮子乡，后经批准以“苏区”为名；同年（1958年）10月起为苏区公社；1983年九月政社分设、改称区，1987年又成乡，到1993年十月升格为镇。[1][2] 关于命名的年份，博雅地名网另一页写作1958年国务院批准，与前述1957年的说法差一年。[6]

到2013年，县里增设苏区社区居民委员会，辖区取自炮子村的圩镇部分。[5][13]

地理与人口[edit]

镇域东邻南岭镇，南与惠东县的马山、高潭两镇相接，西面和北面分别是龙窝镇、洋头镇。[2] 镇政府设在炮子圩，博雅地名网称距县城45公里，百度百科记为42公里。[2][3] 当时（1998年）镇下分10个管理区，共130个自然村，居民3143户、17736人。[2] 百度百科记2018年年末户籍人口为23586；第七次全国人口普查（2020年）约1.08万人，在县内各镇中列第14。[1][3]

经济[edit]

据博雅地名网转录的1998年资料，镇内山地8000公顷，耕地1011.5公顷，其中水田743公顷；当年粮食总产10628吨，水果种植831.5公顷，三华李占391.3公顷，春甜桔占120公顷；全镇农业总产值4213万元，工业总产值608万元。[2] 1971年竣工的竹蟹沥电站装机1260千瓦；镇办瓷厂在1994年出产瓷器成品和半成品共210万件。[2] 高岭土矿分布在黄布、永光一带，估计有280余万吨；到1998年，黄布村民办的采矿点超过120处。[2] 2016年全镇地区生产总值为2.2亿元。[3]

革命旧址[edit]

1923年1月，苏区人张子玉受彭湃委派回乡，3月成立炮子乡农会；7月紫金县总农会在炮子成立，钟一强任会长。[8] 南昌起义余部在1927年十月整编为红二师，随后开进紫金，把师部安在炮子的福星楼；这年十二月，紫金县苏维埃政府成立，主席是钟一强，办公处是湖子仓，当地称“红屋”。[7][9][11] 1928年农历四月和十月，国民党军先后两次在古井丘一带的水田里杀害群众共450多人，这块地后来称为血田。[10] 1930年12月，海陆紫苏维埃政府在海丰成立，次年春起在赤溪村宝善楼办公。[12]

据紫金县政府网站，镇内现存革命旧址和纪念建筑共二十处。苏区革命遗址群在2005年入选广东省的百处红色旅游经典景点，又先后于2010年、2011年被定为市级、省级爱国主义教育基地。[4] 其中各处旧址的位置与来历，见炮子村、赤溪村、永坑村、小北村各条。[6]

荣誉[edit]

苏区镇获「2023年广东省卫生乡镇」称号，时间是2024年3月。[1]
