大水井社区在河源市源城区高埔岗街道，由原大水井作业区改设，2014年经源城区人民政府批准成立。[1]

这里原是农场的大水井作业区，改为社区后名称未变。[1]

概况[edit]

社区面积约4.5平方千米，范围以粤赣高速为东界、巴登大道为南界，西面是巴伐利亚庄园，北面是客天下水晶温泉度假区。[1]居住的常住人口5000多人，户籍人口1200多人，九成以上来自新丰江库区移民；下设2个居民小组、2个资产公司。[1]

社区已获“幸福社区”称号，并评上市三星级和省四星级宜居社区。[1]
