新作塘社区属河源市源城区高埔岗街道，是源城区人民政府在2013年或2014年批准设立的社区。[1]

社区是新设的居民委员会，仍用此前的“新作塘”三字作名。[1]设立年份，博雅地名网两处写法不同：简介作2014年1月，沿革栏作2013年。[1]

概况[edit]

社区约2.7平方千米，居住的常住人口8000多人，户籍人口只有800多人；下设两个居民小组与一个资产公司，邻接大水井、新陂两社区。[1]

荣誉方面：2019年9月，名列广东省2018年“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建名单；2025年3月，获认定为河源市2025年度绿色社区。[1]
