卫星社区是河源市源城区新江街道辖下的社区，居委会设在大桥南路。因当地原是水库移民安置点而得名。[1]

历史沿革与得名[edit]

此处原是移民点，城市人口增加后，为管理这处卫星移民点成立了居委会，名称由此而来。此后经历了管理区（1958年）、营（1960年）、大队（1961年）几次改称，2002年才设居委会，名称未再变。[1]

辖区与人口[edit]

辖区东到西门塘红花路和西门塘公园环城西路，南到河紫路，西到河源大道、大桥南路，北到长塘路，面积约0.52平方千米。社区分6个居民小组，居民5392人、1204户，水库移民约占其中的27%。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2017年5月，社区进入第四批国家级充分就业社区之列；2019年9月，名列广东省2018年度民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位。[1]
