历史沿革[edit]
林场建于1959年11月，最早归汕头专区；1983年转入惠阳专区，从1988年开始归汕尾市。[1]陆丰市政府网站的甲东镇概况写到，该镇75平方千米的面积中，有21平方千米属东海岸林场，数字与上面略有出入。[3]
经营[edit]
开办之初先种了3万亩木麻黄防护林带；1979年起改造为混交林带，树种除木麻黄外还有湿地松和台湾相思。[1]2023年又建起一处500亩的苗圃，育有凤凰木、木棉等苗木共300万株。[1]场内分设三个部门，即办公室、生态保护修复部和森林资源管理部。[1][2]
