新埔社区是大安农场辖下的社区。博雅地名网称，此地荒地多、地势高、缺水源，原是荒草埔，因而得名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

此地起初归大安公社，叫安边大队。1966年划入农场，随即改叫新埔管理区，这一名称此后沿用。[1]
