湖石村位于广东省汕尾市陆丰市桥冲镇最东端，离镇政府最远处约9千米，东面与南塘镇潭头村接壤。村内有四个自然村，设四个村民小组，博雅地名网所载总人口5350人。[1]
地理与产业[edit]
村域为丘陵地带，村内有一条乡村公路，各自然村之间交通方便。种植业以荔枝、芝麻、花生、番薯、水稻为主。湖石芝麻个大粒饱，较有名气。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
湖石村是革命老区，历史悠久。解放初期属南塘镇，之后归入桥冲镇。[1]
1995年起，原属石东管理区的四个自然村（湖石、三湖、尖山、南景）独立出来，成立湖石管理区；1999年转为村委会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2023年5月，湖石村被评为「2022年广东省卫生村」。[1]
