钱广村位于上英镇中东部、螺河下游，距镇政府约6公里，属革命老苏区村。村子由钱姓祖先于1711年前后建成，1999年定名为钱广村委会。[1][2][3]

历史沿革[edit]

博雅地名网称，钱姓祖先从福建迁来建村，时间为1711年，距今三百余年。[2]百度百科也记1711年建村。[3]

1957年以前，村子隶属潭西区的铁广乡；此后数年间先归炎龙公社，1966年冬起改入上英公社钱溪大队。[2]

1973年，钱广与玄溪分设，自成钱广大队；1988年改为管理区，1999年改设村委会。[2][3]

博雅地名网的玄溪村页也写到1973年的分设，但说分出的是玄溪大队，两页对分出方向的说法不一。[2][4]

人口[edit]

博雅地名网记总人口2315人，村域面积约3.2平方千米。百度百科所载户籍人口为2619人，总户数488户，两者口径不同。[2][3]
