半埔村在上英镇中部，临近螺河下游，共有3个自然村、5个村民小组。村子地处沙埔地带，面积6.5平方千米，人们也称它「海鲜之村」。[1][2][3]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，明成化年间（1465至1471年），林姓先祖自福建泉州府迁来，先在博美镇林厝町村落脚，后从林厝町村移居此地建村。[2]

1949年至1959年间，村属潭西区上英乡；1960年与上英村同在一个大队，1962年分出，成为半埔大队。1988年设管理区，1999年改为村委会。[2]

地理与经济[edit]

村委会距镇政府约3公里，耕地1600亩，总户数348户。村民以农业为主要收入，部分外出经商、打工，部分发展养殖业。[2]

荣誉[edit]

半埔村于2023年5月列入「2022年广东省卫生村」名单，由广东省爱卫会颁定。[2]

另在2019年9月，半埔村被列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[2]
