浮头村位于上英镇西南部、螺河下游，西南隔河与海丰县大湖镇相望。全村面积约4.6平方千米，下辖4个村民小组。村内的农会旧址是陆丰较早建立村级农会的见证，现为广东省红色革命遗址。[1][2][3][4]

历史沿革[edit]

博雅地名网记载，庄姓人于1508年在此建村。[2]此后的归属屡有变动：土改时归一区浮头乡，1960年则在东崎公社浮英大队名下。[2]

1964年归潭西公社浮英大队，1966年改隶上英公社，成为浮头大队；1988年设浮头管理区，1999年方才改设村委会。[2]

红色历史[edit]

1922年底，在彭湃等人的带领下，村里成立农会，由庄育群任会长，组织贫苦农民开展减租减息和分田斗争。[4]

1928年，反动势力对村里进行报复，庄育群等18名农会干部遇害。新中国成立后，民政部追认他们为革命烈士。村内设有「四房公」遗址，供人缅怀。[4]

村农会旧址被广东省核准为「广东省红色革命遗址」。[2][3]

荣誉[edit]

2020年12月，广东省爱卫会授予浮头村「2020年广东省卫生村」称号。[2]
