北湖村在行政上归广东省汕尾市陆丰市南塘镇管辖，是镇内24个行政村委会之一[1]。2023年5月，获广东省爱国卫生运动委员会授予「2022年广东省卫生村」称号[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

北湖1952年设乡，属第五区（南塘区）；1959年成为北湖大队。1975年划入东桥公社，1983年东桥公社撤销，回归南塘区，改称北湖乡；1987年改设村民委员会，属南塘镇；1994年称管理区，1999年复称村委会，沿用至今。[1]
