历史沿革[edit]
后西于1952年设乡，属第五区（南塘区）；1959年成为后西大队，隶南塘公社；1983年复称乡，属南塘镇；1987年设村民委员会；1994年改称管理区，1999年定名村委会，沿用至今。[1]
人口与经济[edit]
据博雅地名网所载的村情，后西村在南塘镇南片，辖2个自然村，人口近5000人，以农业为主，该页称其为经济落后的贫困村[1]。
