历史沿革[edit]

湖坑原来叫湖坑大队。土改时归桥头小乡，是全国土改的重点之一；1955年办初级社；1958年立大队，队部设在湖坑村，由驻地得名；1999年改称村委会。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

村后山坡有宋代的卢天潢墓，2022年3月被汕尾市人民政府公布为第三批市级文物保护单位。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，湖坑村列入2018年度广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位；2020年12月，被广东省爱国卫生运动委员会评为2020年度广东省卫生村。[1]
