博雅地名网载，全村有8000多人。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

清乾隆年间，先祖从福建迁此立村，取名虎富。土改时，它与溪墘村同属虎富小乡；1958年成立大队时分出新布、溪墘2个大队，属碣北公社；1983年称新布乡，属碣北区；1987年改村委会，1994年改管理区，1999年复为村委会，沿用至今。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2020年12月，新布村被广东省爱国卫生运动委员会评为2020年度广东省卫生村。[1]
