海英村在汕尾市陆丰市碣石镇碣南半岛北侧的末端，三面环海，没有耕地，下辖乌坭、下汕尾2个自然村，是以捕捞为生的渔业村。[1][2]

博雅地名网载，全村387户、2317人，有22艘中型捕捞渔船，离镇政府5公里。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

海英原名田头园，新中国成立后隶第六区（碣石区），1957年冬归碣南乡；1958年10月成为碣南公社的田头园大队，共有5个自然村。1965年碣南并入碣石后，“文化大革命”中改名海英大队。1978年灶背、围仔、田头园三村陆续分出，另设村委会，海英大队剩乌坭、下汕尾两村。其后1983年称渔管区，1987年设村委会，1994年称管理区，1999年又为村委会，沿用至今。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2020年12月，海英村被广东省爱国卫生运动委员会评为2020年度广东省卫生村。[1]
