博雅地名网载，全村2018人，村民原以务农和捕鱼为生，现已有一半人外出打工。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

新中国成立初期属第六区（碣石区）的下南乡；1957年冬划归碣南乡，1959年成为碣南公社田头园大队的一部分，1961年分出另立灶背大队。1963年起与海英合并，称海英大队（1965年碣南并入碣石，隶碣石公社），1971年灶背大队恢复。其后1983年为农管区，1987年设村委会，1994年称管理区，1999年又为村委会，沿用至今。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2020年12月，灶背村被广东省爱国卫生运动委员会评为2020年度广东省卫生村。[1]
