昂塘村在河口镇南部，螺河岸边，和陆丰市大安镇相邻，西面与新田镇接壤，省道S240穿村而过。村里的时雍楼是广东省文物保护单位。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

昂塘原是河口大队的一部分，1974年独立设大队，1982年又并回河口。1984年3月起，大队体制取消，改由乡政府管理；此后村一级的称呼依次是村委会（1986年）、管理区办事处（1990年）、村民委员会（1999年）。[2]

概况[edit]

村下设昂一、昂二、双门滩、下屋和水流神5个村民小组，314户、1900人，耕地715亩、山地8500亩。村子靠近圩镇，村民以手工业和小生意为主，农业种荔枝、龙眼和蔬菜。[1] 昂塘村在2019年9月被省里列为2018年度「民主法治示范村（社区）」的创建单位。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

时雍楼当地称昂塘洋楼，1905年始建，占地2500平方米，主楼和附楼共99个房间；主楼两层作住房，附楼单层作厨房和餐厅。外墙用钢筋和水泥浆砌石，并浮雕长方形花饰。大门匾额为「亲睦堂」，二楼门额题「时雍楼」。据博雅地名网，这是汕尾境内最早也最大的钢筋水泥结构建筑，2012年被列为广东省文物保护单位。[3]
