宝金村在河田镇北片，与螺溪、南万两镇相邻，村民住在螺河的两岸，下辖长一、龙一、富一、竹下等26个自然村。[2] 2026年1月，它又入选广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1924年以前，宝金、河北、宝山并成河北乡；1964年到1974年宝金单设大队，1978年再次并回河北乡，1984年3月成立的仍是河北乡政府。直到1986年才有宝金村委会，之后是管理区办事处（1990年）和村民委员会（1999年）。[1]

地理与人口[edit]

辖区10.3平方千米（村情页作1.3平方千米），林地11234亩（生态公益林7500亩），耕地780亩（水稻田占312亩）；设揖江、竹园、金全、金坑、硁背5个村民小组，户籍929户4667人，常住2789人。[2][1]
