高砂村在陆河县城东部，属河田镇，是汕尾市生态文明村；2026年1月，它又入选广东省第二批「百千万工程」典型村。[1] 随着县城扩容提质，村子渐渐并入县城，新增了面埔和朝阳两个片区。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

1924年以前，高沙（今高砂）、河东、上径、甘坪四处同属河东乡；1964年至1974年间，高砂与上径、甘坪一起从河东分出，1974年后自成高砂大队。之后的变化：1984年3月成立乡政府，1986年改村委会，1990年改管理区，1999年改村民委员会。[1]

地理与人口[edit]

村东界河东，西界河南社区，北到朝阳路，南至陆河大道南段。辖区3.4平方千米，由上寨、新寨、下寨、大塘4个自然村和11个生产小队组成；山地约1000亩，林地约900亩，耕地约260亩。户籍398户（3066人），常住5600多人。[2] 村情页另记总人口1708人。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2020年12月，高砂村在「2020年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」名单中；2019年10月，它入选「广东省卫生村」名录。[1]
