河田社区是陆河县河田镇镇区中心的老城区社区，居委会驻地在河田镇区，因而得名。[1][2] 社区内的商贤家庙是彭氏宗祠，汕尾市2022年公布的第三批文物保护单位名单中有它。[3][4]

历史沿革[edit]

1999年，河田居委会分出新城、河田、城北三个社区居委会，河田社区的称呼自此沿用。[1]

地理与人口[edit]

社区东至田心坑，西沿螺河东路，北到内洞桥，南达泰安桥，辖区约2.5平方千米，已无耕地和林地。[2] 镇政府一份资料记5个居民小组、2599户、户籍8035人，常住7971人，划为8个网格；另一份资料则记5个村民小组、3449户、总人口8061多人。[2][5]

名胜古迹[edit]

商贤家庙在河田居委塘子唇，是彭姓族人纪念始祖彭祖（钱铿公）的家庙。县政府的文物介绍称它始建于清雍正初年，1932年、1990年和2011年重修三次。[3] 百度百科记其为“上五下五”布局，占地4000平方米，并说1923至1927年间彭湃曾在此组织农民运动，解放战争时期粤赣湘边纵队政治部驻于此处。[4] 在县政府的介绍中，它同时是粤赣湘边纵队政治部驻地旧址。[3]
