鸿都社区在江南街道东南面的商业闹市区，面积0.16平方公里，于2007年由梅龙社区分设而成。[1]

地名由来[edit]

这一带原名豆子脉，2000年后由梅州市鸿艺房地产开发有限公司开发，辖区内有鸿都花园，社区以此为名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

2007年以前，这里属梅龙社区辖区；2007年自梅龙社区分设，成立鸿都社区居委会，沿用至今。[1]

辖区概况[edit]

社区有常住3262户、8156人，其中户籍1621户、3892人；分4个居民小组，有生活小区9个，其中规模较大的鸿都花园，被列为国家康居示范工程。2020年12月，社区列入2020年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
