梅龙社区在梅州城区江南一带，由梅江区江南街道办事处管辖，辖区面积约0.35平方公里，常住人口1.2万多人。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

这里在1958年归龙坪大队管辖；1980年后在此设居民委员会，1992年后易名梅龙社区居民委员会，至2001年又重设为梅龙社区居民委员会，沿用至今。[1]

辖区概况[edit]

社区自述，常住人口约12000人、4500多户，其中户籍人口9163人、3680户；分设8个居民小组，辖区有生活小区34个、省市区属单位35个，另有小学2所、幼儿园3所。社区曾获「省六好平安和谐社区」「广东省社会科学普及示范基地」「广东省卫生村」等称号。[1][2]

2007年，鸿都社区自梅龙社区分设。[3]
