下埔村属多祝镇，村下方有一大片埔地，因此叫下埔，2023年11月入选「广东百千万工程首批典型县镇村」。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

下埔在解放前属河北乡，1951年12月为下埔小乡，1957年12月并入河北乡，1963年2月与塘田、大和合为下埔大队，1974年塘田、大和析出；1986年改下埔乡；1987年3月依惠东府函〔1987〕15号文改村委，1990年称管理区，1998年复称村委会。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，下埔村列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单；2022年1月，被广东省乡村振兴局确定为「2021年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位；2023年11月，入选“百千万工程”首批典型县镇村。[1]
