八维村是多祝镇的行政村，由八个围村合成，是民政部确认的「全国村级议事协商创新实验试点单位」。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村由八个围村联合而成，依次是良田、楼下、华地头、南坑，以及下深垅、松柏浪、白石光和白坭坑，故称八维。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

解放前八维归多祝区河北乡，1951年12月为八维小乡，1957年12月并入河北乡，之后在1963年成八维大队、1983年改乡；1987年3月依惠东府函〔1987〕15号文改村委，1990年称管理区，1998年复称村委会。[2]

荣誉[edit]

民政部办公厅2021年12月确认八维村为「全国村级议事协商创新实验试点单位」；2023年4月，列入「2022年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位名单；2026年1月，获评「广东省第二批百千万工程典型村」。[1]
