威整镇是广东省肇庆市四会市北部的一个镇，东北邻清远市清新区，西北与广宁县交界，东南同罗源镇、地豆镇相接，距四会市区约40公里。[1][3] 镇域面积64.05平方千米，下辖1个社区和8个行政村；镇政府驻振兴路2号。[1]

镇名来自圩名：清嘉庆二年（1797年）这里建起圩市，后因临威整河而称威整圩。[3] 镇内的奇石河景区是国家4A级旅游景区。[6]

历史沿革[edit]

据维基百科，南北朝时此地归清远郡的威正县管；隋文帝年间清远郡被撤，威正县并进清远县；大约到北宋，才划给四会县，此后未再变动。[2]

明隆庆元年（1567年），黄洞坑的鹅稠下有四个姓氏（黄、罗、许、胡）的人开圩做买卖，叫鹅涌圩。清嘉庆二年（1797年）改称隆庆市，又名鹅涌新圩，因处在威整河畔，后改名威整圩。[3][4] 光绪年间（1871年）设威整铺。[4]

民国时期，这里在1932年设威整乡，隶第二区，1941年又改称威整圩。新中国成立之初仍是威整乡，归四会县第二区。1952年5月拆为威整、南洲、黄洞三个乡，隶广四县第十一区；两年后的7月，改称白沙乡，回到四会县第二区；1957年1月再并成威整乡。[4]

1958年9月，威整被划进第二人民公社，这个公社后来叫地豆人民公社；1961年4月威整自其中析出，单独建威整人民公社。此后公社改为区（1983年8月），区再改为镇（1987年3月）。[1][4] 维基百科则记为1986年改称镇。[2]

地理环境[edit]

镇位于北江一级支流漫水河的上游，四面环山，博雅地名网称其属寒冷山区；气候为亚热带季风性气候。[1][3]

人口民族[edit]

百度百科载有2019年末的户籍人口，为17006人；博雅地名网转引第七次全国人口普查的结果，当时全镇为7700人，在四会市各街道、乡镇中排第13位。两个数字口径不同，不宜直接对比。[1][3]

名胜古迹[edit]

奇石河景区位于红星村一带，占地约8平方千米，以宽120米、高60米的银龙大瀑布和绵延十里的奇石河床为主要景观，是国家4A级旅游景区。[5][6][7]

威整学校前身是罗家私塾，建于1877年，到2011年10月25日，校名正式改为「百年威整学校」。校内有威整七七抗战建国纪念碑，建于民国二十八年（1939年），花岗岩结构，高2.7米。[5]

挺四儿童教养院旧址原为金盘里罗氏分支宗祠，砖木结构，占地128平方米。抗日战争期间，1942年8月威整学校在此创办儿童教养院，收养战区难童100多人；旧址现作威整史馆。[5]
