金吴村是怀集县冷坑镇南部的一个行政村，距圩镇10公里。据博雅地名网转载的村情资料（未注明年份），全村人口3,819人，耕地1009.5亩，其中旱地1137.3亩；产业上，种植水稻和西瓜；村里有十几台拖拉机从事运输。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
据村情资料，该地建制先后为：金吴大队（1962年）；改称金吴管理区（1989年）；金吴村民委员会（1998年）。[1]
村民委员会成立于1998年11月，由怀集县人民政府以怀发〔1998〕20号文批准，因驻地在本村而用此名。[1]

- 该村被认定为广东省第三批「百千万工程」典型村镇（2026年3月）。[1]
