熔炉村是怀集县冷坑镇中部的一个行政村，距圩镇2公里。据博雅地名网转载的村情资料（未注明年份），全村人口6,287人，耕地1941.5亩，其中旱地121.5亩；产业上，种植水稻；手工业以编织畚箕、大莴为主。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据村情资料，该地建制先后为：熔炉大队（1958年）；改称熔炉管理区（1989年）；熔炉村民委员会（1998年）。[1]

村民委员会成立于1998年11月，由怀集县人民政府以怀发〔1998〕20号文批准，因驻地在本村而用此名。[1]

  • 广东省农业农村厅公布第二批广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村，该村以蔬菜入选（2021年9月）。[1]
