楼边村是怀集县冷坑镇东北部的一个行政村，距圩镇3公里。据博雅地名网转载的村情资料（未注明年份），全村人口3,844人，耕地1316亩，其中旱地212亩；产业上，种植水稻；传统上制造铁器五金。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据村情资料，该地建制先后为：楼边大队（1962年）；改称楼边管理区（1989年）；楼边村村民委员会（1998年）。[1]

村民委员会成立于1998年11月，由怀集县人民政府以怀发〔1998〕20号文批准，因驻地在本村而用此名。[1]

荣誉[edit]

  • 广东省农业农村厅公布首批广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村，该村以叶菜入选（2020年8月）。[1]
  • 该村被列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单（2019年9月）。[1]
