西洲村是怀集县冷坑镇西北部的一个行政村，距圩镇10公里。据博雅地名网转载的村情资料（未注明年份），全村人口2,119人，耕地1083亩，其中旱地40亩；产业上，种植水稻，养殖石山羊，出产蜂蜜、冬菇，山林和水力资源多；村内的华天达生态园有3000亩果木基地，种沙糖桔、八月桔、蜜桔和柿子竹等。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据村情资料，该地建制先后为：三坑林场（20世纪60年代）；西洲村民委员会（20世纪80年代）。[1]

村民委员会成立于1998年11月，由怀集县人民政府以怀发〔1998〕20号文批准，因驻地在本村而用此名。[1]

荣誉[edit]

  • 该村被列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单（2019年9月）。[1]
