圩镇社区是怀集县冷坑镇的镇中心社区，即冷坑圩所在地；博雅地名网将它记作「冷坑社区」，城乡分类为镇中心区。[1]冷坑圩在清道光年间（1821—1850）形成，镇名因圩而得。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

冷坑之名有两说：一说取自栏马河汇入马宁水的一段河水，水清而冷；另一说是镇西古有一河，水清见底、水温偏低，当地话称河为「坑」。[1]

荣誉[edit]

  • 2019年9月，该社区被列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
