1953年设瑚塘乡，其后历经4次易名，1999年设瑚塘村委会，延续至今[1]。

据博雅地名网，瑚塘村下设村民小组7个，户籍登记1300户、6560人，总面积6.4平方千米，耕地3150亩[1]。另有表彰：2019年9月，列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位；2024年3月，获评2023年省卫生村[1]。
