1968年设尖岗乡，其后历经3次易名，1999年设尖岗村委会，延续至今[1]。
人口与经济[edit]
据博雅地名网，尖岗村下设村民小组6个，户籍登记345户、1931人，总面积3.5平方千米，耕地423亩[1]。另有表彰：2019年9月，列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位；2023年5月，获省爱卫会评为2022年省卫生村；2026年1月，获评「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」[1]。
