1953年设博美乡，其后历经4次易名，1999年设博美村委会，延续至今[1]。

人口与经济[edit]

据博雅地名网，博美村下设村民小组7个，户籍登记363户、2155人，总面积0.8平方千米，耕地300亩[1]。另有表彰：2019年9月，列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位；2023年5月，获省爱卫会评为2022年省卫生村[1]。
