观青村是电白区沙琅镇下辖的行政村。据博雅地名网，观青村分32个村民小组，1100户，5440人，总面积6平方公里，耕地2800亩（该网未注明统计年份）。[1]

1953年设乡，1958年改为生产大队，1983年恢复乡的建制，1987年起设村民委员会，1989年一度叫管理区，1999年又恢复村民委员会之称，此后未再变动。[1]

主要经济作物是水稻；特色收入来自香蕉；上一年（该网未注明年份）村经济总收入为40万元。[1]
