琅东社区是电白区沙琅镇下辖的社区。据博雅地名网，琅东社区分12个村民小组，550户，2929人，总面积1.5平方公里，耕地1000亩（该网未注明统计年份）。[1]

社区在沙琅镇政府驻地的东面，因此叫琅东。当地的说明称，居委会依托本地资源调整农业结构，发展城郊型经济。[1]
