木等生产大队是1961年由那艮生产大队划出而设的；1983年改设木等乡，之后先后叫作村委会（1987年）、管理区（1998年），1999年恢复村委会之名，沿用到现在。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，本村被列入2018年度「广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位名单」；2022年1月，广东省乡村振兴局把它列为「2021年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位；2023年5月，广东省爱卫会授予其「2022年广东省卫生村」称号；2024年4月，入选「广东省第一批乡村振兴示范村」创建名单。[1]
