山阁镇是广东省茂名市茂南区东北部的一个镇，东南邻羊角镇，西南接新坡镇，西北连金塘镇，东北与高州市的分界镇、陈垌镇以及金山开发区交界，辖区面积44.47平方千米。[1]全镇下辖东山社区和烧酒、金塘岭、霞池、禄村、合益、山阁、黄杰、福居、高车、那际10个行政村，镇政府设在东山社区。[1][3]2019年末户籍人口40210人。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1941年（民国三十年）时，此地隶属茂名县第二区，其后1953年改入第五区，1956年又归分界区。[2]1958年茂名县并入高州县，此地归高州县分界公社；1961年单设山阁公社，1963年又并回分界公社。[2]
国务院于1979年2月批准把这里划入茂名市郊，当年5月重新建立山阁公社。[1][2]1983年公社改称区，1985年设立茂南区后，山阁区属茂南区，1987年改为镇。[1][2]
关于镇名，博雅地名网记载：建镇在1979年，当时由高州市分县镇划出10个大队组成；因附近飞鼠岭山脉在此隆起一个土墩，形似山上长出一只角，起初叫山角；后嫌“角”字不雅，取仙山琼阁之意，以谐音的“阁”字改名，成为山阁。[2]
地理环境[edit]
山阁镇在茂南区北部，南面与茂名市区相接，西邻金塘镇，东与羊角镇相望，北面同高州市根子、分界、泗水三镇相邻。[2]据博雅地名网介绍，镇内距“高水”一级公路约1千米，距广湛高速公路茂名出口约5公里。[2]镇区气候属热带季风气候。[1]
人口[edit]
户籍人口方面，2019年底统计为40210人。[1]第七次全国人口普查（2021年6月公布）显示，全镇常住人口约3.2万人，在茂南区各街道、乡镇中居第12位，辖区面积居第6位。[2]
经济[edit]
据百度百科所载，山阁镇2019年的税收为1080万元；累计固定资产投资895万元，累计规模以上工业总产值3.2348亿元；农民人均可支配收入为10480元，较上年增加一成。[1]
镇内以荔枝等水果种植为主：高州东部所产荔枝外运多经此地，“高水”一级公路路口至福居村委会一段的两侧，据博雅地名网所述，是每年荔枝购销的集散地带。[2]各村也多以荔枝、龙眼为特色产业，其中霞池村在2021年9月入选「第二批广东省一村一品、一镇一业专业村」名单，品种为荔枝。[2][5]
名胜古迹[edit]
福德境是一座民间庙宇，供福德境主和福德夫人，百度百科把它列在山阁镇的瓦岭村，说它建于清代，传说有村民在古榕下发现一块显灵的神石，遂建庙供奉；重建于2006年，由村民集资完成；2015年庙院扩大，总占地680平方米，院里的古榕已有200多年树龄。[3]每年正月初一拜祭，五月初九为进神纪念日，九月初二办年例。[3]
茂名山阁温泉度假村为茂南区一家商业企业集团公司投资建设，占地2.5平方公里，距市区10公里，园内天然热水泉水温达56摄氏度，水直供客房，设客房168间。[4]
