据博雅地名网整理的区划沿革，1958年成立扶柳大队，1984年改为扶柳乡，1987年2月设村民委员会，1989年改称管理区，1999年起定名扶柳村民委员会。[1]

  • 2020年8月，列入广东省农业农村厅公布的首批广东省「一村一品、一镇一业」专业村名单，产品为菠萝。[1]
