唐家镇在广东省湛江市雷州市西北部，镇人民政府设在唐家圩，镇名由此而来，唐家圩距雷州市区37公里。[1][2] 全镇面积约157平方千米，辖2个社区、14个行政村。[1][3] 镇内有「第七批全国重点文物保护单位」唐氏墓群，农业以甘蔗为大宗。[2][5]

历史沿革[edit]

新中国成立初期，唐家一带属海康县第五区。1957年分设唐家、杜陵两个乡；1958年归跃进公社；1961年置唐家区，后来先后称红旗公社、唐家公社。1984年3月改称唐家区，1987年4月撤区建镇，定名唐家镇。[1]

地理环境[edit]

唐家镇与纪家、龙门、北和、海田等镇相邻，面积约157平方千米，耕地4万多亩。[2] 雷城至企水、客路至龙门的两条公路经过镇境。[2]

人口民族[edit]

据博雅地名网转载的镇情介绍，全镇共有15个管理区和114个自然村，户籍人口为38324人；第七次全国人口普查时人口约3.88万人，在雷州市各街道乡镇中居第20位。[1][2]

经济[edit]

农业以甘蔗、水稻、西瓜、蚕桑和花生为主。镇情介绍称，甘蔗总产31万多吨，人均8.5吨，人均产量和产值在雷州市居首位。[2] 乡镇企业以制砖、酿酒、建筑为主；镇境内的国营单位包括唐家糖厂、唐家冷冻厂、唐家林场，以及火炬农场的一些连队。[2]

唐家糖厂前身是1969年开建的海康县唐家糖厂，占地26.1万平方米，1976至1977年榨季起生产白砂糖，1988年建成日榨2500吨的生产线。[4]

名胜古迹[edit]

唐氏墓群在唐家镇柯山岭一带，是宋至清代的墓群，总占地约34万平方米，葬的是粤琼唐氏始祖唐菽林和历代有功名的子孙，始葬于南宋咸淳五年（1269年）。[5] 据百度百科，墓群有宋、元、明、清各代唐氏家族古墓52座，另有石像、碑记亭和溯源亭等。[5] 据维基百科，墓群先是在1999年9月列为雷州市级文物保护单位，2008年5月列为省级，2013年3月又进入「第七批全国重点文物保护单位」名单。[6] 博雅地名网的镇情介绍另有一说：灵界管理区的溪伞村发现唐氏祖墓四十余座，占地四十多亩，南宋至民国下葬的男子，官职最低的是县尉。[2]

唐菽林字宜民，生于1159年，宋嘉定元年（1208年）进士，任雷州推官，1244年在雷州去世，1269年葬于柯山岭。[7] 杜陵村还有清光绪年间武进士吴国栋的墓。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2022年9月，唐家镇被认定为湛江市文明镇；2024年3月，被命名为2023年广东省卫生乡镇。[1]
