历史沿革[edit]

原雷城镇在2006年10月被雷州市政府拆为雷城、新城、西湖三个街道，同时设立了商业社区居民委员会。[1]

2019年9月，该社区进入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
