历史沿革[edit]

村民委员会设于1999年，之前为1988年的管理区、1986年的村委会；1982年恢复北街乡之称，1961年称北街大队，1949年始设北街乡。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2026年1月获评「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」；2021年1月入选「湛江市2020年度全市文明村」；2020年8月列入「首批广东省“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村」名单，产品为荔枝；2023年5月，北街下村、那黄上村获评「2022年广东省卫生村」；2019年9月列入「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」名单。[1]
