2015年5月，城家外村从谢家村委会划出，另立村民委员会。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2019年12月，城家外村被认定为「全国乡村治理示范村」；2020年11月获「第六届全国文明村镇」称号；2021年6月，村党支部被中共广东省委授予「广东省先进基层党组织」；2022年1月10日，入选「第三批广东省文化和旅游特色村」。[1][2]
